These photos were taken in or near DeWitt County, Texas, spring 2005. Cuero, Texas is the wildflower capital of Texas. Learn more about the wildflowers in Texas by visiting this site:
http://www.dewittwildflowers.org/. Flowers will be identified as I learn their names in the coming weeks. This gallery was previously titled, "Wildflowers in Texas.," but then I included some photos of some not-so-wild flowers growing here this spring like oleanders and wisteria prompting a title change.
A grand purple wisteria bush decorates the fence corner and hides some of the trash dumpster here in the RV park in Victoria, Texas. I have always loved wisteria and I have planted several bushes of it in different yards, but I never stayed long enough to see them bloom. This must be an old plant because it has a vast quantity of blooms and numerous branches.
