As we tour the USA, here are photos of some of the landscapes and architecture and other interesting stuff that we have seen along the way.

Kay Jones > This photo was taken in Goliad, Texas, at the Presidio La Bahia, a mission/fort that is one of only several remaining examples of a Spanish Colonial mission/presidio complex in Texas and in North America.  The Presidio chapel still serves as a community church.
Kay Jones > Cactus plants decorate the fences here in southern Texas.  The new growth can be seen here in this photo looking like thorny, green Mickey Mouse ears.  Once we even saw a "natural cactus fence," probably created by a farmer who was being resourceful.  I don't know when the cacti bloom, but I do hope to get some photos of cactus flowers.
