We had just seen an alligator lazing in the grass by the edge of the pond, then Tom saw part of this one's head in the pond. It kept an eye on Tom while he took some photos then it decided that it needed to keep both eyes on him so it brought more of its head up out of the water. This gator was seen in Aransas National Wildlife Refuge near VIctoria, Texas.
