Kay Jones > When I first saw this tiny green anole lizard, it was, indeed, very green.  But it is a chameleon and it changed from green to brown to gray to brown making it very difficult to find to photograph.
Kay Jones > This little lizard was changing colors as he darted around the fence post from bright green to brown and gray.  He is displaying his dewlap or pouch here.  Lizards do this when they are courting or claiming territory.  There was another lizard about this same size nearby.
